George Herbert's Day

Today is the day that the English poet and priest George Herbert is remembered in the Anglican Communion. And it is also the day that my dear Mum would have been 90. She didn't quite make it but prayers are being said for her the length and breadth of the country today, literally since this includes the dear nuns on the Shetland Island of Fetlar. And without knowing that this was Herbert's day, I have also chosen an Antiphon of his from the Five Mystical Songs set to music by Ralph Vaughan Willams as the closing music at Mum's memorial service to be held on Saturday.
