Any port in a storm.
This is a native Blue Banded bee that’s roosting on our Christmas lights. (Yes, they are still up - solely so the bees can roost on them). They do not have a hive, but attach by their mandibles to sticks or twigs, or in our case Christmas lights. We usually have more - up to 30 at times - but this year we only have a couple. Might be because it’s so wet. They’re fascinating to watch. Especially after a crappy work day and a couple of restorative bevies!
