Bleak

In the bleak mid winter .......

A day when everything looks very bleak here with one thing and another but the dogs were happy getting out for a very wet and muddy walk. 

Poppy having learnt the trick of jumping over the small stream of water linking the fields did it without a qualm but it was deeper this time around! She was soaked. She was even more confused when I said that I wasn't doing that and had to jump back too! 

Lovely to hear the robins and a thrush out there singing. It seemed like every other tree had a robin singing its heart out. So lovely and uplifting - not out of the mud unfortunately.
