Fossilised

Not much fungi to be found in the woods this morning but I did spot this crust fungus (I only know a handful of crust fungi and this isn't one of them) growing on a fallen branch. The odd thing is that the fungus has also grown over some of the leaves, fusing them to the branch and giving the whole thing a kind of faux fossil look.
