MISTY MORNING

Woke early-is this morning and was really wide awake, so I got up at 7.30 am!!!!  I know that's not that early, but it is for me these days!!!!

After just generally pootling round the house, having breakfast, checking on e-mails etc I then decided I really needed to get out again, so I just went for a leg stretch round the block.

I walked down Carter Road, back up again (it does me every time, it is soooo steep).  Quite a few people going up and down here, but not altogether, couples and people on their own mainly and we kept good distances.  

Rather than go back home I popped round to Kilmidyke Drive as I knew the view from there over to Arnside etc was stunning and took this photo.  Couldn't see the fells, beyond but I thought Grange and Holme Island looked rather lovely in the mist, so Blip done for today.

I then walked back up to Allithwaite Road and did my usual circuit of going down Kirkhead Road, Greaves Wood Park Road, Priory Crescent and then just back home.   A few runners went past and I had to turn my back and bury my head in my coat as they were breathing rather heavily - such a shame 'cos I normally like to see them.  

Lots of birdsong and fluttering which was so lovely but I rarely saw them, unless they decided to bomb past me.

Now going to continue with the sorting out of my photo files.

Can I ask, anyone over 80 that has had their covid jabs, were you given appointments for your next one please?  My mum has had hers but was not given an appointment or advice on what to do and I'm just wondering whether we need to book it for her.  I don't want to leave it too late!!!!!!
