Coal Tit
The coal tits are amongst the smallest visitors to the elder tree. The others, the goldcrest and wren, are rare visitors and difficult to blip. We have lots of coal tits but they are also fast movers. Twice this morning whilst I was watching, the alarm call sounded and the tree emptied - of all but the blue and coal tits who wait for a few moments and then carry on feeding. I don't know but I imagine it wastes a lot of energy for them flying off and coming back. What do the blip bird experts think?
