Where in the world?

We weren't actually going anywhere other than the station, which is conveniently located near the Development Education Centre in Sheffield. I'd set our teachers some challenges , for example `finding the global in the local' and identifying sustainability or globalisation in the station environment. They had to take two photos on their phones and then return with their group to talk about what they'd chosen. Station environments are great places for exploring how geography and the global dimension are linked. We had a good session - our last dissemination meeting of the project which is now coming to an end.

We followed this up with a meal at Silversmiths, which was very good. Apparently Tuesday night is pie night, fish pie, steak and ale pie and a veggies pie. Very good it was too. Getting through the traffic in this part of Sheffield is always a nightmare and last night would have been even worse as there was a football match at Bramall Lane - so a very good decision on our part!
