Do we always notice......

.....the little things?  I've always loved these delicate papery 'bits' once the flowers have opened.  Can't remember what they're called but saw them today on the narcissus that R bought me on Sunday.  Gorgeous.  

Dreadfully wet today but a nice call today from L, our daughter, who is 37 today!!  Where did the time go?  Even she is a bit surprised by it all!!  Also one from my friend J who is still up in Scotland, north of Ullapool.  Cheered the day.
