The earliest thing I needed to be up for was my 1130 new laptop pick up at the office; so as it was on company time, I set about laundry / chores before making my way to said office via Her's for breakfast (avocado toast, poached eggs).

I arrived early; read a little in reception until the engineer arrived; ushered me towards my new laptop and I spent half an hour or so making sure everything worked (it did)

Obviously I got home to find out that I couldn't log on; so a phone call later and I was able to work. Or I would have been if anyone who gives out work would answer me! (I have been helping out one team with their tsunami of work in the wake of CV19; but in typical fire fighting mode, we then got drafted in to help another team deal with their tsunami of work in the wake of CV19. Sadly my laptop collapsed almost immediately after being transferred; so I wanted to check that I was still required as I'd missed a week of trying to figure out what I needed to do and if it was only for a day or two, it made more sense for me to go back to Team 1 and something I can be productive at. 

But neither side seemed keen to stake a claim to my services, so I responded to a couple of e mails and headed off to the dentist to be relieved of my 2nd tooth in a week. 

After that, I didn't feel like a Burns Supper at Her's so I settled onto the sofa and dribbled lukewarm tea and small portions of cereal down my front as I glazed over in front of some TV or other. Eventually I popped some brufen and took a book to bed.
