Living Dangerously
Yesterday the forecast was for a clear sky at sunset, so I set out for Crosby Beach, although I knew the tide would be out. I thought I would walk up towards this navigation marker, but had forgotten that there are notorious quicksands at Crosby Beach. Before I knew it, my boots had disappeared and the sand(?) was over the bottom of my trousers. After a rapid turnaround and quite a bit of squelching, I had thankfully returned to firmer land. A lesson learnt. This image was made about half an hour after the sun had gone down below the horizon.
I later realised that I had already posted an image for the day, so this is really breaking the rules. But, I feel safe living a little dangerously amongst friends.
