Fluffy the ‘oss
Treacherous underfoot this morning. So only managed a short walk, but at least I didn’t fall! The frost really picks out the detail on this bronze statue which is in the arboretum’s industrial garden. Known in Black Country vernacular as Fluffy the ‘oss it was commissioned back in the 1990s and represents the industrial heritage of Walsall. It was designed by Marjan Wouda as a tribute to Walsall’s saddlery and leatherwork trades. A nice contrast to my blip yesterday of some very alive and friendly horses! On Remembrance Day it has garlands of purple poppies.
