Mum

Despite dementia, if you give her a book she will immediately  get her nose into it. It only lasts 3 or 4 minutes, but at least she's  still in there. 
It's  a difficult time visiting and keeping  your distance. She was never very demonstrative, but losing her week by week I wish I  could give her a hug.
Bereavement  by a thousand cuts is awful.
