Another Time, Another Place

My Dear Princess, Loulou and Dear Fellows,

Today it was "Wellington Day" in Wellington, that bizarre local holiday that rotates around the country because, weird.

Despite lovely weather outside, I decided to spent the day making notes on the podcast from my lovely new book. And anyway, the outside was right THERE. We just opened the doors and let it in. Including a cheeky blackbird.

But I wasn't fast enough on the camera to get a picture of a blackbird walking around the kitchen, and in fact forgot to blip anything today. Fortunately I found this on my phone. It's a picture I took on Saturday night from Loulou's old photo albums!

This is Caro circa 1998 in Edinburgh, we think. To her left is her Scottish friend Gina and to her right is Macca, who came over to stay with us last Christmas.

Macca has changed loads. I really don't think Caro has. That's sort of weird.
