A lift?

It was a rough day. I started with a flat tyre on my bicycle, then missed the train, then argued with the guard, then had a grumpy person assist me with train pass issues, then I was nearly run over by a taxi while crossing on a zebra crossing. I arrived at work a bit wound up to be honest!

I later foolishly decided to address an insurance policy issue and encountered the mysteries and frustrations of the UK Data Protection Act. This Act seems designed to obstruct all useful tasks, actions and discussions and always creates an insurmountable block to anything productive. Once it is brought into the conversation you may as well give up and bang your head against the wall. I started to argue (OK, I did argue for awhile) but in the end gave in to it and was as nice as I could possibly be to the person on the end of the line. I even made light of it. What was I thinking? Trying to do anything outside of the boundaries??! My mistake entirely.

My day was actually quite useful and pleasant despite the issues above, and it was super sweet to be collected at the station by Nathan. Here is the (blurry) scene as I crossed over the train tracks and saw him waiting for me. He has had his full UK driving licence for 9 days now and the novelty hasn't quite worn off yet.
