Another week in lockdown begins. Homeschooling support over the screen with our Yr3 grandchild tested my mathematical skills! This was the first of five virtual meetings today. Will all these 2D events continue when lockdowns are finally consigned to the history books/websites?

Walking on the beach this afternoon was chillier than we had expected due to the biting north westerly wind.

The inevitable news of Jenner’s closure on 3rd May was announced this afternoon on a day when the online giants closed in on high street brands but have no interest in the bricks and mortar nor the livelihood of all those who used to work there.

On a brighter note I was encouraged to hear plans outlined for the future of Portobello’s Town Hall at this evening’s online Community Council meeting.
