I ordered a gift for a friend's birthday, from a fellow Blipper.

I quite fancied a wee box to keep my needles in and at the same time I got a darning mushroom for my friend. 

My dad had a saying, if he found the exact tool for the job, a box that was exactly the right size for example. He called it a Good Thing. You could hear the capital letters in his voice. This darning mushroom is a Good Thing. Thimble and needle go in the hollow handle and you have a perfect darning kit for any jumper elbow, sock toe or wooly glove thumb. 

I am delighted.
