2018-03-04 (Day 063) Stiriling Bridge

One of the reasons Stirling is famous is the Battle of Stirling Bridge, which took place in 1297. The bridge that featured in the battle was a timber bridge, and was replaced several times until this stone bridge was built in the 1400s or 1500s.

Iif you look closely you can see the Wallace Monument through the mist, standing producly above the twin guardposts at the far end of the bridge.
