Get back indoors, it’s good for your health
A little trip to Portobello, which is pretty much at the edge of our no-fly zone as it’s 4.7 miles away. There, we did stock up on bread and took a stroll along the prom. The poor local police were telling people who had taken a rest on their backsides to get up and either exercise properly or go home. We’ll have this virus licked in no time. I may have said that before. Certainly by Christmas.
What else is up? That Navalny guy has decided to go back to Russia and seems to have touched a raw nerve by revealing a video of a vast new palace which he claims belongs to a certain V.Putin. Putin denies it shocker.
And in our neck of the woods, Nicola appeared on Marr again. But what’s happening behind the scenes, MrP, you ask. Aha. All is not as it appears, it appears. The National Party has always been the most unified of our squabbling bunch, which is understandable as they’ve a simple central aim. And even talk of Salmond v Sturgeon or their proxies, Cherry v Robertson can be portrayed as merely the usual mischief making by the dastardly MSM and their yoon brethren. But discipline is fraying, I can reveal. Twitter wars! Alyn Smith and Pete Wishart taking public pot shots at opponents within their party. James Dornan MSP slagging off and then blocking Angus B MacNeil MP. Begob. What did the distinguished* man from the isles do that so offended our friend from Cathcart? Gasp: he’d said (in reference to SvS affair and the stymied committee investigation) “difficult to write this - but difficult (to) imagine this happening at Westminster.” Seriously off message or what! Pip pip!
* Awarded "Political Scot of the Year 2006" for his role in instigating the ‘cash for peerages’ investigation, his halo was tarnished somewhat when it was revealed he'd engaged in a drunken three in a bed romp with a couple of teenagers whilst his pregnant wife was in hospital. An uncharacteristic lapse of judgement.
