Snow friends

I think there were a lot of people out yesterday afternoon (after we got home) and a lot of snowmen have appeared.  Most of them seem to have collapsed this morning, but I thought these two were prizewinning examples of what can be achieved.  They were built by one of the entrances to the park.

I had expected it to be icey and slippery this morning, but it wasn't bad at all.  Already some of the snow is melting and what was left was soft and crunchy (if it's possible to be both!).  However, the snow covered ground under an absolutely clear blue sky was wonderful and we had a really enjoyable walk.
