2017-10-01 (Day 274) Ready To Start

Along with some tens of thousands of other participants, I took part in the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in Glasgow today. My predicted time put me in the third "wave" of starters, this is my view looking back through my wave and the one that followed just before the start.

The weather was actually okay for long distance running - while the rain was frequently heavy (it certainly was before the start) it kept us cool - more importantly, the wind was quite light.

I was delighted to have an official time of 1:41:02 - a PB by about two and a half minutes!
