The long-awaited snow
I was very lethargic this morning, couldn't get up to take beautiful pictures of the back garden, even though I could see that the snow was falling off the branches already. I had stayed up very late, finishing an old book called Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont.
Eventually I got a phone call, and I surfaced. CleanSteve made kippers for brunch. Had a shower, put some washing on, got dressed in fresh clothes, then went back to bed and fell asleep! I think it's post- vaccine fatigue. My arm is stiff today.
Normally I'd have been out and about, stomping around in the snow, but I knew that all the parks, the cemetery and the area behind our house called The Heavens would have been crammed full of people, because it was a Sunday. So I stayed home and ordered Cullen Skink for Burns Night tomorrow from the pub/corner shop.
Now the snow is pretty much gone, but I've caught up on sleep, and worked out that I have been on three long walks in the past seven days, so don't feel so bad.
