This is what remains of the Phoenix Bar in Whitecross, mid-way between here in Linlithgow.
According to the BBC, the fire brigade arrived at the pub around 0230 on Thursday, finding it well ablaze. Fortunately nobody was inside, but the damage to the building is awful.
