2015-12-29 (Day 363) Bo'ness Mining Memorial
The Bo'ness memorial to mining was unveiled in 2007. It commemorates the history of coal mining in the town - Bo'ness was where commercial coal mining first started in Scotland.
That industry is gone now, and the coal fired power station in the background of the photograph will be closing early in 2016.
How our baseload power generation will be provided in future is anyone's guess, and few seem to be brave enough to admit that more nuclear generation is inevitable.
Lovely weather today though!
