2015-12-12 (Day 346) Steam in the Night

If you look north from where I live you can see the steam that comes out of the cooling towers of the petrochemical plant at Grangemouth.

This can look pretty impressive, especially when it catches the streetlighting from Grangemouth, but is in fact apparently just steam.

That of course doesn't stop journalists from using it as a terrifying demonstration of nasty industry, because it looks pretty scary.

PS This steam should not be confused with another similar Scottish term, "steaming". That's something different.
