2015-10-10 (Day 283) Callendar House

Callendar House sits in the centre of what is now Callendar Park in Falkirk, on the line of the Antonine Wall.

Formerly the family home of the Tanes of Callander, at its core is a14th century tower house, repeatedly rebuilt into its current French renaissance style.

The house and its grounds now belong to Falkirk Council, and has been developed as a museum and heritage centre.
