Diving in
I filled up the bird feeders yesterday in anticipation of the cold weather and snow. Just after sunrise today they started to appear, the usual goldfinches and blue tits but a coal tit was there too this morning, several blackbirds, and these starlings attracted by the fat square. Of all the birds visiting us, they are definitely the most quarrelsome - this one is perhaps brighter than some of the others as it is awaiting a space before going to the feeder. One in the extra of the argument in progress.
Thanks to everyone who looked in on my journal yesterday. Gill has finished the new covers on the four original chairs and they are all reassembled, so we could sit to the table for dinner :-)
We'll finish off the two new (to us) chairs tomorrow.
