2015-06-10 (Day 161) Temporary Bridge

The road from here to the railway station is closed. The railway bridge needs to be raised to allow overhead electrical cables to be put in place, as part of the electrification of the line.

There is a temporary pedestrian bridge in place, however. I have no doubt at all that it is well-scaffolded and as safe as houses - it has survived through some fairly extreme wind - but I just wish it sisn't look quite as Heath Robinson (or Rube Goldberg, for any American readers!)
