This is lock 16 of the Forth and Clyde canal in the centre of Falkirk. But just to be confusing, the nearby pub is the "Union Inn" and there is even a "Union Chippy" just beside the lock.

I think that this is because this is where the "Forth And Clyde" and the Union canals used to meet. Now, of course, they meet at the Falkirk Wheel
