2015-03-18 (Day 077) Kirk O' Shotts

This church - Shottskirk or Kirk O' Shotts - is a category B listed building which is clearly visible from the M8 that runs between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This building was opened in 1821, but the site has been sacred for much longer, with documented evidence of worship on the site back to 1450. The graveyard is reputed to have stones dating back to 1624.
