2015-02-25 (Day 056) Empire Biscuit

If you believe <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_biscuit"&gt;Wikipedia&lt;/a&gt;, then the Empire Biscuit was originally known as the <i>Deutsch biscuit</i>. With the outbreak of World War I, however, the biscuit was renamed the Empire Biscuit, a name used for it to this day. So perhaps the ludicrous idea of "Freedom Fries" is not so new after all...

We are told that it is particularly popular in Scotland, and it is certainly popular in our household. Granda brings them in to the kids, and Marie and I sometimes get the crumbs ;-)
