2015-02-16 (Day 047) Kelpies At Night
One of the stranger pictuers of the Kelpies!
This was taken at night, looking south west over the Kelpies, with Falkirk beyond. In the foreground, the River Carron, after which the Carron Ironworks and the Carronade cannon were named.
Beyond that, the M9 motorway - the light trails of passing cars as they slow down to turn off the motorway. And to let people cross that motorway, a brightly-lit underpass.
The Kelpies are often lit up in red at night, but tonight they are white - it's the post that carries lamps that is showing up red.
The electricity pylon carries power from the endangered Longannet power staion to the National Grid.
