A Late Flurry
Easy going sort of day, researching the possibility of installing a multi fuel stove in the man cave - very minded to do it and looking at options. Gary, my walking buddy is a quality builder and has kindly offered to do the installation if I get the bits. He's busy, but it should be done in time for the summer solstice! Great walking this afternoon with my good lady wife, who, despite chronic arthiritis and a dangerous love of warm and comfy, has agreed to an hour out in weather that was less than clement. Hollie dog, of course, didn't need persuading and we donned more layers than Edmund Hilary and went out into the storm. It was great, stopped snowing and we were blessed with late winter sunshine, glorious long shadows and a ruddy glow to the cheeks that made us feel like we had had a good slapping. Life is pretty good at the moment, but I am looking forward to those long summer nights when we can start lighting the fire again.
