Up close and personal

After running to an appointment in Stockbridge, I continued up to the castle to start some silliness.

Using the Royal Mile as a handrail, I ran down and up every single accessible close on the south side, before repeating the venture on the north side returning to the castle.

37minutes to get to Holyrood via 22 closes, 5.6km
36minutes to get back to the castle via 25 closes, 4.4km

The closes on the south are longer, those on the north steeper with many steps. Some interesting names, my favourite being Baron Maule’s Close. Sadly it didn’t match the name.
