Lazy Saturday, went for walk at lunchtime, papers in the afternoon and looking forward to a double Spiral this evening, what's going to happen to Gilou tonight. On our walk we saw this memorial to 73 men and boys who perished in a colliery explosion in 1887.

My album of the day is "Pretenders" by The Pretenders. First heard them do the cover of The Kinks "Stop Your Sobbing" produced by Nick Lowe, bought the album on the strength of "Brass In Pocket", the rest is history. Survived death and disaster to create a bucketload of fine songs.
