Maracaibo

Summer has arrived. 38C this afternoon, not a cloud in the sky. When the temperature goes over 35 we tend to hunker down indoors with the aircon on. The trick is to get everything done in the morning. And so it was today, a GP appointment to get results of recent tests (good news thankfully) and then... a trip to Costco! 

A huge warehouse stacked to the roof with discounted goods, aisle upon aisle crowded with unmasked shoppers. Two chill rooms (2C inside) for veggies, fruit etc., then checkout and outside to over 35C. What pandemic?

An afternoon of staying indoors gave us an opportunity to revisit the game Maracaibo by Alexander Pfister. We played this a lot last year, it is a firm favourite. As tomorrow’s forecast is for another baking hot day, topping 41C, we’re planning to play the campaign mode. All day.
