Sunny over the Bay
Not a bad day..ie.it wasnt raining.
Went down to the coast road which is only 3 miles away. Lots of space for everyone as it was low tide.
It's not the best beach ( living on a peninsula we are rather spoilt for beaches .. miles and miles of beaches) but it was still so good to get out into all that space!
( see extra.. part of the beach is being taken over by sea grass. Other extra is looking across the bay to Morecambe)
6 degrees on the car thermometer but the sun felt warm and there was no wind.
Very relaxing and we took our time.
The huge tree stump we'd seen washed up on the sand last September is now wedged up on to the rocks.. the power of the sea. Today it was calm and a bit hazy on the other side of the bay. You could see the snow on the tops over Yorkshire . The local weather forecast was reporting roads closed because of snow but 20 miles away we have had none .
M got a text this morning to book an appointment for his anti Covid jab tomorrow.
They are really rushing to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Let us hope it works!
A nice squishy bag of yarn arrived this morning so that shall keep me occupied for a while.
A large bag of kitchen rolls was also thrown over our gate this afternoon.. for our neighnour who doesnt actually live on our street . His house is behind ours in what was once an orchard. I phoned him and I delivered it to him through our small window at the back of the house! Saved a long walk round the block. Good old Hermes but it's not really their fault when the address states our street.
The news re Covid doesnt seem to be much better. I feel so sorry for those whose livelihood is being destroyed. The number of folk being vaccinated is good ..but weve a long way to go before we can relax restrictions . The number of people who are flouting the rules is shocking. ( 400 people at a wedding party??? I despair)
Take care everyone. It may take some time but I do believe we ll get through it xxxxx
