Snowy Dunes

The near freezing conditions today have meant that the residue of yesterday's snowfall is still with us. So when I took Megan out for her afternoon walk it was quite an adventure to get across the salt marsh to the beach. The shallow pools were frozen over and you needed to break through the ice in order to cross them. Fortunately I had a walking stick with me so I was able to break the ice before venturing onto the ice myself and   thereby risking a fall. It seems almost incongruous that the sand dunes could be covered in snow but as my blip shows there was snow all around.
