We plough the fields and scatter

The gulls from out of our way!
Back up to Barrwood today and Mr Farmer was out with the plough. So often we see ploughing but not a bird in sight. The lack of birds indicates the lack of life in the soil, i.e. that soil is “dead” and cannot grow stuff much without added fertilisers. So I am very glad to see birds following the plough.
Have to say it was quite busy up there today. We may soon have to seek another quiet location for our walks.
