Morning stroll down to the canal. Beautiful weather and wonderful light today, so a real,pleasure strolling down the canal towpath. The canal borders the Ripon Wetlands Nature Reserve, Ripon Marina & Ripon Racecourse. It was first opened in 1773, after raising £15,000 from public subscriptions, and carried flax, wood & coal.
