Beyond The Gap

Strange kind of sky, cloud above, blue sky below, yet blindingly bright snow. Through the gap the light seemed even brighter, an omen of happier times to come?

I wore sunglasses to walk about which seemed to help when transitioning to the viewfinder (without them), not such a big jump in brightness. Just a faff to find a pocket and not lose them.

Of course the trees were very dark against the light and I was pleased to be able to lift the shadows. I think maybe I could have moved right a bit and got the far off oak on the right under the outstretched branch in the mid ground.
