FLUFFED UP

It was good to get out again, though the cemetery was very soggy underfoot and the wind was perishing! Most of the birds were far too flighty, being blown about the treetops or hiding in the hedges, but the kestrel was on the lookout.

Mum had her vaccination today, hooray! Unfortunately Mel has tested positive for Covid (which we're not telling Mum yet), so we're hoping she doesn't develop any bad symptoms and we'll delay any thoughts of Mum going home until Mel is fit and strong enough to care for her. It wasn't going to be for a few weeks, in any case. It's rotten for poor Mel who was about to have her first vaccination in the next few days, and is now worrying for herself, but also feeling that somehow she's let Mum down.
