A Day of Contrasts

Yes I think the day can be summed up by the title.

At the end of the shift this morning, the heavy overnight snow had subsided but due to the icing on the Queensferry Crossing, the bridge was closed!!

So it was a 40 odd mile detour for what should have been a 7 mile journey.

However as the day progressed, the remaining snow started to melt and the sun shone.

So it was out for a walk this afternoon before the last night shift of the set.....and it was great to see this beautiful rural scene!!
