We woke to snow.
Our local rivers and becks all run on rock - so they rise fast but they also fall fast - the respite rain turning to snow offers is huge, hopefully Cumbria has avoided the worst of this latest storm - certainly for us it's been no worse than usual.

It was a gloomy start but looking up from the pc I could see blue sky and white hill tops - sometimes that's all the encouragement you need. My little hill buddy certainly didn't need asking twice.
