Rainbow over Knaresborough

After all the rain we have had recently (thanks to storm Christophe), I didn't expect to see any blue sky this afternoon. When I set off for a short walk along the river front in Knaresborough it was dull and there was still the occasional sleet shower - see today's extra. Fifteen minutes later, the sky cleared and we were rewarded with a rainbow. I have not done any processing on the image at all - it really was a deep blue sky!

I thought the river Nidd might have been higher than it actually was. As you can see from the extra, it is higher than usual, but didn't appear to have flooded yet. I'm sure many fingers will be crossed hoping it won't get much higher.
