30 years ago

30 years go today we moved to Sydney. We still had the removalists with us when a terrible storm hit. When I say storm it was more like a tornado. Of the 11 trees on the property 8 came down or were twisted so badly by the wind that the tops broke off. There was devastation everywhere. Two trees fell on the roof and we lived with tarpaulins for 6 months until the house could be repaired. Our car took a direct hit and was written off .  It took awhile to establish ourselves but our new neighbours were wonderful and from a very rocky start we really enjoyed our time in this part of Sydney.
