"Mew, Mew, What's in that stew?"
Laura Earle is suspicious of my stew.
It's made of a few things that I bought, and a few things I had in the larder that needed using up:
1 chicken carcass (for the stock)
1.75 lbs. of beef heart
Celery
Onion
Red potato
Finger potatoes
1 vegetable bouillon cube
Asparagus
When I stated eating my first bowl, I realized that I was biting into heart, rather than stew beef as I thought I'd purchased. Usually I've eaten bird hearts, which arrive whole and are not easy to mistake like this.
Though not nearly Ceridwensian, it was filling and very nourishing food.
