Congaree River

On the way to my sons home for another day of painting I decided to stop at the river to walk a little. This view of the Congaree River is looking at one of the main bridges to get to Columbia which is our state Capitol. Last week when we had all the rain this river was high up and was brown and muddy. No rocks were visible. Today it was calm and reflecting the blue sky and I saw many turtles sunbathing.

It really would have been a great day for being outside but trying my best to get this painting finished this week. Two rooms to go!
