The Swamp

...at Whitesburg Preserve is mostly still frozen.  In fact, the road and paths were so icy that after his surveillance, Mr M strongly suggested we walk elsewhere since he deemed it much too dangerous there.  I was disappointed, but as he reminded me, we don't need any broken bones.  So after a few photos we went off to walk under the trees at Sulphur Springs.  At least the ice on the bridle trail is crunchy rather than slippery, so we went up and down hill, then back again.  The fresh air felt great, the dogs and people we met were friendly, and the sunset on our way out was beautiful.
