Zoom!

When I went to bed last night it was snowing.
When I got up this morning there was between 2 and 3 inches of wet, heavy snow.

I know it was heavy because I went out and cleared the front path, the path to the back and the patio, the pavement all the way round to out next door neighbour's drive, a path down to the drive and all of the drive.
I then scattered some of the grit in the cleared areas in case it froze.

I was knackered.
But I still went and did some turning before mid morning coffee.
When I was standing at the lathe I heard a tractor ....... it was the pavement clearing tractor coming round and gritting the pavements. For the first time ever it also ploughed the courtyard.
I needn't have done all that work!
But Frazer across the road won't be happy ... all the ploughed snow was dumped in front of his drive and gate ...... with the sign on it that says "Gate In Use".

In the afternoon I took SWMBO out to the collection point for returning items to Amazon.
It is the 3rd time that she has tried to return it and every time she has been told that they have no return labels because of the backlog and that things are not being collected.
Not happy.
Back at the house she cancelled the return and then went through the system again.
Lo and behold ....... she was given different collection details and told to take it to our local store - which will be done tomorrow.

A couple of my turned pieces  (one is only a prototype!) have been snapped up by a fellow Blipper so I will also be going to the Post Office tomorrow.

The Blip is something I haven't done in many years .......... zooming the lens during a long exposure.
I think I will need to try it with the big camera as the zoom lens for the wee one is slightly 'sticky' and wasn't rotating as smoothly as it should through its entire length.
