Many congratulations to the USA on a new President and Vice-President. They have an enormous task in front of them, wishing them, their government and the whole of the USA all the best. Looking forward to seeing you lead by example :-)

It's a hopeful end to a difficult day, in The Netherlands we are indeed going into an even stricter lock-down at least until Feb 8, with an evening curfew, severer restrictions on visits (only one person outside the household allowed to visit once a day, which does mean we'll not be able to have our regular visits nor family meals with Jack and his parents).

Remember that tomorrow's optional theme for Abstract Thursday is 'waves'. There are waves in all kinds of places and things, they don't need to be the usual ones and we can make waves too :-) The tag will be AT291.

Thanks very much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's granny square. This granny is a bit tearful today, also because of the inauguration,  but I know the sadness due to the temporary separation of our family bubble shall pass too.
